No, you are not allowed to have multiple MyCash wallets. Each MyCash wallet is tied to your TRN and mobile phone number, so you can only have one wallet per person.

 

2.    HOW DO I WITHDRAW FROM MY MYCASH WALLET?

MyCash users can withdraw from their MyCash wallet from any authorized Paymaster location island wide. 

Provide the identification requested by the MyCash Agent, and you can withdraw your money by accessing your MyCash wallet and following the instructions therein.

Any withdrawal transaction must be initiated and completed at the MyCash agent location.

 

3.    HOW CAN I CHANGE THE PIN FOR MY MYCASH WALLET?

You can change the PIN by selecting “Forgot PIN” from the login page of the MyCash App and follow the instructions therein.

 

4.    IS INTEREST PAID ON THE MONEY LOADED ON THE WALLET?    

No.

 

5.    WILL I INCUR DATA CHARGES FOR USING THE MYCASH APP?

Yes, you will incur data charges while using the MyCash App.

 

6.    CAN I OPEN A JOINT ACCOUNT WITH MYCASH?

No, your MyCash wallet is tied to your TRN and mobile phone number, so you can only have one wallet per person

 

7.    HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO OPEN A MYCASH WALLET?

You need to be 18 years or older to open a MyCash wallet.

 

8.    DO I NEED A SMARTPHONE TO OPEN AND OPERATE A MYCASH WALLET?

No, the app features can be used on a non-smart phone device using the USSD option *172#. The MyCash app will also work on devices with Android 4.1 and iOS (Apple) 8.1 or later. The MyCash app is available on both the Google Play and Apple App Stores.

 

The USSD Option *172# allows users access to the below features:

9.   HOW DO I CHECK MY AVAILABLE BALANCE?

You can check your balance using the MyCash wallet. Once you sign into your wallet, you’ll be able to see the available balance at the top of the screen

 

10.   HOW DO I ADD FUNDS TO MY MYCASH WALLET?

You can load your MyCash Wallet by:

  •  Cash deposits at any authorized Paymaster location
  •  P2P transactions from MyCash account holders
  •  Utilizing the card to wallet feature (debit or credit VISA/Mastercard only)
  • Bank transfers from a local financial institution (Not Yet Available)
  •  International money remittance from a remittance service provider (MyCash Max Accounts only) (Not Yet Available)
  •  You may acquire JAM-DEX in your CBDC Wallet by CBDC disbursements from the Government of Jamaica. (Not Yet Available)

 

11.    WHERE CAN I MAKE PURCHASES WITH MY MYCASH WALLET?

At authorized MyCash merchants island wide. (Not Yet Available) 

 

12.    WILL I RECEIVE PRINTED STATEMENTS?

No, however, you can view the details of your transactions in the MyCash wallet.

 

13.    CAN SOMEONE ADD FUNDS TO MY MYCASH WALLET?

A third party cannot add money to your wallet. They can only do so by sending funds from their own MyCash wallet to yours (P2P) and account held at a local financial institution (Not Available at Launch) .


14.    CAN I UPGRADE MY WALLET LIMITS?

Yes. Simply provide the additional information to upgrade to the MyCash Plus wallet. 

 

To upgrade, open the Main Menu and select the Upgrade button. Follow the instructions to provide additional information necessary to perform the upgrade (you will need, your address, a valid ID (from list) and will be required to take a selfie).

 

15.    WHAT HAPPENS IF I EXCEED THE LOAD LIMIT ON MY WALLET?

The transaction will not be completed. You will not be able to add funds to your wallet in excess of the allowed amount.

 

16.    HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THE RECEIVER TO ACCESS THE FUNDS?

When you send money to other active MyCash customers, the funds are instantly available in the receiver’s wallet. You will receive a confirmation that the transfer has been successful and the receiver will also get a text message once the funds have been applied to his/her MyCash wallet.

 

17.    CAN I SEND MONEY TO OTHER MOBILE WALLETS? 

No. Currently, you can only send money from your MyCash wallet to other active MyCash wallets.

 

18.    HOW DO I CONFIRM THAT A SEND MONEY TRANSACTION HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL?

As the sender, you will receive a confirmation that the transaction has been successfully completed and the receiver will also get a SMS message once the funds have been received.

 

19.    CAN I USE MYCASH TO TOP UP MY DIGICEL MOBILE AIRTIME?

Yes. Your MyCash wallet allows you to purchase and send airtime to a recipient.

 

20.    CAN I SEND AND RECEIVE INTERNATIONAL MONEY TRANSFERS THROUGH MY MYCASH

WALLET?

Yes, Paymaster operates the Remittance Services that allows you to send and receive money to a Beneficiary through your MyCash Wallet (MyCash Plus) and in partnership with third-party Overseas Providers. (Not Yet Available)

 

21.    WHAT ARE THE REASONS A TRANSACTION WOULD BE RESTRICTED?

Your Transaction request will not be completed:

  • If the Sender has insufficient funds in their MyCash Wallet to complete a Transaction and to cover the charges for a Transaction
  • If either User has reached the threshold prescribed by Paymaster
  • If you have reached the daily limit prescribed by Paymaster
  • If your MyCash Wallet has been temporarily suspended or permanently frozen due to due diligence issues, money-laundering issues or any other compliance-related grounds
  • If there is any other compelling reasons such as temporary system delay or outage.
  • A Transaction once completed is final and irrevocable.

 

22.    CAN REFUNDS BE ADMINISTERED?

Yes, when you buy something from a MyCash Merchant and the transaction is refunded, the money will be sent back to your account. (Not Yet Available)

 

23.    CAN MY MYCASH ACCOUNT BE SUSPENDED?

Yes, Paymaster reserves the right at its discretion to suspend or terminate your MyCash account if you have entered inaccurate information. Paymaster may be compelled by law to suspend/freeze your MyCash account or decline to execute your Transaction requests if there are reasonable grounds to suspect that a MyCash Wallet has been or is being or may be used to receive or send funds in connection with any criminal or fraudulent activity.

 

24.    WHAT CURRENCY IS USED ON THE MYCASH WALLET?

The MyCash Wallet is denominated in Jamaican Dollars.

 

25.    IS THERE A CHARGE FOR PAYING BILLS THROUGH MYCASH?

There is a $60 JMD flat fee for paying bills through the MyCash wallet.

 

26.    CAN I TRANSFER FUNDS FROM MY MYCASH WALLET TO MY BANK ACCOUNT?

We do not support transfers from MyCash wallets to bank accounts at this time.
